Check Out Pete Davidson's New Hillary Clinton Tattoo

"Thanks for being such a badass and one of the strongest people in the universe."

People have shown their love for Hillary Clinton in many different ways since her surprising defeat in the 2016 presidential election. Saturday Night Live's Pete Davidson decided to make his show of appreciation a little more permanent with a tattoo of the former Secretary of State on his right leg.

“Wanted to get @hillaryclinton a Christmas gift so I got a tattoo of my hero. Thanks for being such a badass and one of the strongest people in the universe,” the comedian captioned on his Instagram this past Friday.

The illustration looks like it's based on Clinton's look from the Beijing women’s conference in 1995 where she delivered the famous speech which contained the line "let it be that human rights are women’s rights and women’s rights are human rights, once and for all."

As if getting a tattoo of the political icon wasn't enough, Clinton herself commented on Davidson's photo with the perfect response:

“Thanks, @petedavidson. This makes it significantly less awkward that I’ve had a Pete Davidson tattoo for years,” she joked. “But seriously, I’m honored. Merry Christmas my friend.”

Then Davidson saw her comment and replied with “OMG WHAAAAAAAAT!!!!”

Nick Merrill, a spokesman for Clinton, told The Washington Post that the exchange was real and that she saw the photo of his tattoo on a flight from L.A. to New York.

“And that is correct, while she is fond Pete Davidson, she has no tattoos of him … yet,” he added.

So not everything in 2017 was horrible.
