Phi Phi O'Hara Got Engaged On Stage At "Battle Of The Seasons"
Last night's New York City stop on the RuPaul's Drag Race: Battle of the Seasons Tour was one for the herestory books.
Various queens from past seasons including Alaska, Courtney Act, Violet Chachki and host Michelle Visage, performed for a sold out crowd at the Playstation Theater, but it was during the show's Snatch Game segment that things took an emotional turn.
Two audience members were brought up onstage to play the game with the queens when Jaremi Carey-aka: Drag Race Season 4 contestant Phi Phi O'Hara-came out onstage to surprise the audience.
He confessed that this was a special show because not only was New York his home, but that Michael, one of the audience contestants onstage, was actually his boyfriend and Jaremi had flown Michael's mother to the show that night for a special reason.
The crowd immediately knew something was up and began to cheer as Jaremi got down on one knee to propose to Michael in front of everyone.
“I’ve spent four and a half years knowing everyday your kisses, your smile, your touch was everything I needed to complete me," Jaremi told Michael. "I knew from that moment that my forever was standing in front of me. So I figured why the fuck wait? So I’m saying let’s make forever official. Michael, will you marry me?”
Spoiler alert: He said "yes."
