Pissi Myles, the drag queen who made headlines last week when she sashayed onto Capitol Hill for the first day of impeachment hearings, returned to serve America more political fish as a correspondent for Happs News at last night's Democratic Debate.

She didn't just dazzle the crowd with her sequined dress and luscious locks; Pissi was there as a serious journalist! In fact, she ended up getting some one-on-one time with candidates Kamala Harris and Cory Booker.

The debate fell on this year's Trans Day of Remembrance, an annual event that honors the transgender Americans whose lives are lost to hate-motivated violence each year. When Pissi spoke with Harris, she asked the senator how we can protect the lives of trans people, specifically trans women of color, in this country.

"I've worked on these issues for years. I brought people from around the country to San Francisco to teach them how to defeat the trans panic defense," Harris replied, referring to her time as District Attorney of San Francisco. "I have a long history of working on this. Black trans women are under attack, they are being hunted. We have to address this in a very real way."

"I’m flipping my wig over the high energy proceedings today," Pissi told NBC News at last week's impeachment hearings. "Tensions are high, and the bar for who’s allowed in The Longworth House is very, very low.”
