Pitcher Jake Arrieta Goes Naked For Cover Of ESPN's "The Body" Issue

“I'm shaved right now. The chest is good, the back is pretty solidly shaven."

ESPN magazine has released revealing images of Chicago Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta, one of the all-star athletes appearing in the all-together for the magazine's annual "The Body" issue.

Arrieta, who attributes his fit physique to Pilates, said the trickiest part of the shoot was shaving his body.

"[The hair] pretty much connects from the top of my head to my toes with a nice upper body sweater/track jacket type of thing,” Arrieta told the Chicago Tribune. “I'm shaved right now. The chest is good, the back is pretty solidly shaven."

Other pros in the "Body" issue include the Chicago Sky’s Elena Delle Donne, MMA fighter Conor McGregor, NBA veteran Dwyane Wade and NFL player Vince Wilfork.

The 2016 edition also includes Olympic diver Greg Louganis and duathlete Chris Mosier, the first trans man in the campaign.

“I was in a body that didn’t really fit me for 29 years—now I feel comfortable in my own skin,” Mosier (below) told the magazine. “That’s something that I’m proud of and wanted to share with other people.”

One person you won't see in this year's issue, sadly, is Olympic free-skier Gus Kenworthy, though it's not for lack of trying.

"I'd love to do the Body issue," Kenworthy told NewNowNext. "My agent reached out to them about it, actually, but because of the Olympics in Rio they were kind of focusing on summer sports. But next year? I'm totally ready."

And we're ready, too, Gus.

ESPN magazine's the Body issue is out July 6.
