Potpourri Of Pearls Gives Us Yeshiva Boys In Love In "Island": WATCH
Our third-grade hebrew school teacher would kill us if we posted this after sundown, so here's "Island," the dreamy first single from Philadelphia trio Potpourri of Pearls. In it, two Orthodox jewish boys frolic and make out in a pastoral setting.
And no, it's not actually a Lonely Island song parody. This is legit synth-pop—and pretty darn good, too!
POP singer Adam Chad Brody told Towleroad that he and director Scott Ross "sought to create a lush, psychedelic after-school special that started with the very simple idea of yarmulkes being sexy...inspired equally by karaoke videos and the paintings of Claude Monet."
Is the clip sexy? Definitely (though the one guy's lip-piercing kind of kills the Yeshiva-boy fantasy.) Are we going to hell for publishing this on the eve of Yom Kippur? Maybe.
Below, watch the video for POP's "Boyfriend"
