Pregnant Mom Refuses To Let Gay Photographer Take Family Photos

"The last thing I need is to allow my 5-year-old child to think that being gay is okay."

A mother-to-be refused to move forward with a photo shoot after she learned the photographer was a lesbian.

Faith Grace, a photographer from Mobile, Alabama, was hired by a woman named McKenna to do a maternity shoot. But when McKenna saw a Pride flag on Grace's Facebook page she texted to ask if anyone in her family was gay.

"Nobody in my fam is gay but I am—that's why I have [the flag] on my account," Grace, 21, explained.

McKenna replied, "I don't want someone who's gay to take my pictures."

"It's just not right," she added. "I'm against it and the last thing I need is to allow my 5-year-old child to think that being gay is OK/right because I don't want them to be influenced by people like you. I'm sorry that you think this lifestyle is OK and acceptable."

Grace posted about the exchange on her now-private Twitter account.

She called on followers to retweet and share the exchange "to show people that hatred and discrimination still exists and it NEEDS to stop."
