Obama Slays With Hilarious White House Correspondents Dinner Speech

The Presidential Library is open.

Now that President Obama’s days in the White House are numbered, he may want to look into a career in stand-up comedy.

Obama’s speech at his final White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday was both hilarious and heartfelt, and no one was spared from the president’s witty reads, including audience members like Bernie Sanders.

“We’ve got the bright new face of the Democratic party here tonight, Mr. Bernie Sanders,” Obama said. “Bernie, you look like a million bucks. Or to put it in terms you’ll understand, 37,000 donations of $27 each.”

He went on to joke that Bernie’s slogan, “Feel the Bern,” has caught on much faster than Hillary Clinton’s “Trudge Up the Hill.”

Continuing to go in on the current Democratic front-runner, Obama said, “Hillary trying to appeal to young voters is a little bit like your relative who just signed up for Facebook. ‘Dear America, did you get my poke? Is it appearing on your wall? I’m not sure I’m using this right. Love, Aunt Hillary.'”

Of course the jabs got even easier as he moved on to the personalities from the Republican Party.

“Congratulations on all your success. The Republican party, the nomination process – it’s all going great,” he said, adding, “The end of the republic has never looked better.”

He ended the whole thing with a mic drop, saying, “With that, I just have two more words to say: Obama, out.”
