Vintage Pride: 20 Stunning Photographs of Queer Liberation From Decades Past

What did Pride look like 20, 30, 40 years ago?

With Pride Month in full swing, we decided to scrape the archives for vintage photos of queer celebrations. From the 1970s through today, LGBTQ visibility has certainly shifted, but its core meaning has remained the same: We are unabashedly proud of who we are.

Below, find a select sampling of our favorite Pride photographs from 40, 30, and 20 years ago, all of which capture the beauty and resilience of our community.
