Prince Joffrey Wants "GOT" To "Objectify Male Genitalia"

It was a shock when beloved Prince Joffrey ate some bad clams and met an early grave two seasons ago on HBO's Game Of Thrones, as the light and hope in his eyes has been sorely missed. Just kidding! He was a mini-monster.

But it's a testament to the talent of Jack Gleeson that Joffrey made such an indelible impression, and it was a surprise when Jack decided to turn his back on a burgeoning Hollywood career and return to Ireland.

The Daily Beast caught up with the 23-year-old in Dublin, where he's preparing the stage show Bears In Space (sadly, it's a family show), and asked about life after GOT, and the hot topic discussion of the show's misogyny. Jack admits that filming those scenes was always difficult for him: "Yeah, of course; it’s a tricky thing when you are representing misogyny in that way because I wouldn’t say the show ever implicitly condones misogyny or any kind of violence towards women. But, perhaps, it’s still unfair or unjust to represent it even if the gloss on the representation is a negative one."

Even though he doesn't watch the show regularly anymore, he does add his voice to the growing chorus who are hoping for more gender balance when it comes to nudity, saying "I think that is one good thing, to not just objectify women but also objectify the beauty of the male genitalia! We’re all objects together.”
