Puerto Vallarta Beach Club Fined After Men Were Filmed Having Sex in Pool

Dios mio!

Puerto Vallarta is one of the most popular gay destinations in the world, known for its beautiful beaches and vibrant nightlife. The Mantamar Beach Club is a local hotspot, with gay men filling its beach chairs and flocking to its many pools and hot tubs.

But the famed club got into some hot water this past week when it was revealed that owners had to pay a fine after two men were filmed having sex in one of the club’s transparent pools.

According to The Mazatlan Post:

The Mantamar Beach Club paid a fine of 22,179.60 pesos—a little more than $1,000—this week, for having allowed sex in one of its transparent pools. It is also confirmed that the regulation department did not order a closure and the beach club continues to work as usual. It should be noted that several days ago, citizens sent NoticiasPV and NoticiasPvNayarit at least two videos that publicly contained sex scenes.

“In one of these, two men, apparently tourists, are observed touching their limbs. While in the second, a sexual scene between men is seen,” reports the Post.

A blurred out version of the risqué scene has been released:

As NewNowNext previously reported, Puerto Vallarta has historically been Mexico’s most welcoming destination for LGBTQ travelers, making it a favorite getaway for residents of nearby Guadalajara, Mexico City, the U.S., and Canada. About half of the city’s economy is supported by tourism, which means travelers have a lot of options choosing the kind of experience they would like to have.

Next time you’re visiting PV, maybe take things back to the hotel room before you get hot and heavy in plain sight.

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was "just the cutest thing ever."
