Pulse Nightclub Survivor Is #WithHer In New Voting Ad

"We are a force to be reckoned with if we organize."

Today, the Human Rights Campaign released a new ad featuring Ricardo Negron-Almodovar—a Pulse nightclub survivor and first-time voter in a presidential election—urging other LGBT citizens to vote on November 8.

"Every issue we face has a root in the political level," he says in the commercial. "We are a force to be reckoned with if we organize."

Negron-Almodovar is an Orlando resident and today is the first day of in-person early voting in Florida. Watch the ad below.

In a longer version of the ad, Negron-Almodovar recounts the horrific night that he witnessed at Pulse nightclub this past June.

“People like Ricardo are a reminder that despite this horrific attack, our community will never be silenced or defeated," said HRC President Chad Griffin. "We must continue to stand up and ensure our voices are heard. The most effective way to do that is at the ballot box this November.”
