Queen Elizabeth's Favorite Song To Dance To Is Adorably Predictable

Friday night and the lights are low at Windsor Castle.

Queen Elizabeth II is still having the time of her life.

A charming anecdote about the 91-year-old British monarch, which seems to have first circulated back in 2008, has somehow hustled its way back into the headlines.

According to the Mirror, British radio DJ Chris Evans is quoted as saying that a friend of his once attended a posh dinner and disco party at Windsor Castle that was hosted by Her Majesty. When the ABBA classic "Dancing Queen" was played, the Queen apparently said, much to the crowd's delight, "I always try to dance when this song comes on, because I am the Queen, and I like to dance."

After she hit the dance floor, onlookers reportedly remarked, "My goodness me, there is the Dancing Queen."

It's all a little on the nose, sure, but it's more believable than her rocking out to "Royals."

Though the Queen may love LGBT anthems, she's rarely addressed LGBT equality. However, while giving the royal assent for marriage equality in 2015, she was said to have remarked, “Who’d have thought 62 years ago when I came to the throne, I’d be signing something like this? Isn’t it wonderful?'”
