Fab Five Take Tokyo in First Trailer for “Queer Eye: We’re in Japan!”

Konnichiwa, kweens!

How do you say “shamazing” in Japanese?

The Queer Eye guys have spread glitter and changed lives in places like Georgia, Kansas City, and Philadelphia in the upcoming fifth season—but the Fab Five are about to bring their French Tucks to Tokyo in Queer Eye: We’re In Japan!, a bonus mini-season of the Emmy-winning series.

As NewNowNext previously reported, generous gurus Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, and Jonathan Van Ness “bring their expertise to Tokyo to make-better four heroes while experiencing Japanese cuisine, fashion, design, grooming, and culture firsthand.”

The Fab Five work with Japanese model-actress Kiko Mizuhara as their guide in each episode, and Japanese comedian Naomi Watanabe makes a special appearance.

Queer Eye has become a global phenomenon once again and the Fab Five are truly the ambassadors of self-care and compassion that the world needs now more than ever,” said creator and executive producer David Collins in a statement. “Filming in Japan is a wonderful opportunity for us to work with four deserving heroes that will help showcase the incredible traditions and customs of their country.”

Queer Eye: We’re In Japan! premieres November 1 on Netflix. Check out the new trailer below.

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was "just the cutest thing ever."
