Tonight, How I Met Your Mother becomes  “How Barney Met his Father” when John Lithgow shows up as Barney’s biological father. Will he be a legend-daddy?

Plus, Harry’s Law takes Queer Eye alum Jai Rodriguez’s case.

With Y&R coming back from its short break, we should continue to see Thom Bierdz as Phillip.

Dancing with the Stars (ABC) 8:00 PM EDT
Our dancer Louis van Amstel is back for another season, this time dancing with Kendra Wilkinson. I don’t have a guess about Louis’ prospects this season. I know Kendra has a following from The Girls Next Door (and personality certainly counts in this competition) but will she be able to learn the right dance moves from Louis?

How I Met Your Mother (CBS) 8:00 PM EDT
Between this and last night’s Shameless, this is turning out to be meet-the-bio-dad week, isn’t it? I wasn’t a big fan of Barney’s visit home at the beginning of the season, so I hope this time the Stinson family works better. The last few Barney stories have worked nicely, I hope that will continue tonight.

Harry’s Law (NBC) 10:00 PM EDT
Adam (Nate Cordry) takes the case of a transgender performer (Queer Eye culture vulture Jai Rodriguez) who was fired after her affair with the boss was discovered. If Harry’s Law hasn’t changed from the first few episodes, this case will end with a heartfelt, passionate speech from Adam.

Jai Rodriguez from tonight’s Harry’s Law.

All About Aubrey (Oxygen) 10:00 PM EDT
I don’t know much about Aubrey O’Day, aside from that scene that made it into the various clip shows last week where she tries to, uhm, get a semen sample from her dog. I guess she was part of a girl group from Making the Band and was able to earn a reputation that made her the target of gossip bloggers like Perez Hilton, since she confronts him as part of getting ready for her first solo performance.

RuPaul’s Drag Race (Logo) 10:00PM EDT
One of last season’s memorable challenges had the dolls singing one of Ru’s hits live. Can this batch of queens handle the pressure of singing in front of guest judges Jody Watley and Carmen Electra?
