Trans Actress Rain Valdez Makes Her Debut On "Lopez"

She plays a spirited actress named Coco.

Transgender actress Rain Valdez has been rocking it on the second season of George Lopez's TV Land comedy Lopez.

Valdez plays Coco, a beautiful and mysterious trans actress who is under contract at a network where her executives aren't sure how to cast or even talk to her. George has no problem chatting with her because he treats her like any other actor and offers her a role in his new series.

The two spar as Coco insists that she won't be tokenized on the program, but eventually concedes when George's intentions prove to be good. She's scheduled to appear in five episodes, with her first having arrived in early April.

Valdez was born in the Philippines and raised in Guam before moving to Los Angeles at 19 to pursue work in the entertainment industry. She studied acting while waiting tables and then landed a gig working as the Director's Assistant on Transparent.

Check her out in the Season 2 trailer below.

Lopez airs Wednesdays at 10:30/9:30c on TV Land.
