Rapper 50 Cent, The Son Of A Lesbian Mother, Blasts "Empire" For Having Too Much "Gay Stuff"

This coming from a man who just last Christmas performed at an LGBT youth benefit.

Rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Moore–who once admitted that his own mother was a lesbian–blamed Empire's second episode ratings dip on too much "gay stuff" in a now-deleted Instagram post.

The post, originally written by @industryonblast_ (a suspiciously now-deleted account), was shared by 50 Cent to his 6.4 million followers before being hastily deleted.

The rapper's history of homophobic rhetoric is lengthy, dating back to the early days of his career.

In 2014, Fiddy told Playboy: “I ain’t into faggots. I don’t like gay people around me, because I’m not comfortable with what their thoughts are. I’m not prejudiced. I just don’t go with gay people and kick it—we don’t have that much in common. I’d rather hang out with a straight dude. But women who like women, that’s cool.”

In 2009, he appeared on Angie Martinez's radio show where he blasted the then-upcoming Lady Gaga/Kanye West "Fame Kills" tour, referring to it as "the gay tour."

In 2010, a week after the suicide of Rutgers University freshman Tyler Clementi, 50 Cent posted the below on Twitter:

In a 2012 interview with Vibe Magazine, he publicly stated his support for gay marriage but added: "We need organizations for straight men in the case you’ve been on the elevator and somebody decides they want to grab your little buns.

In December 2014, Cyndi Lauper invited him to perform with her at her True Colors Fund’s annual Home for the Holidays concert benefiting homeless LGBT youth telling BuzzFeed that "people evolve."

If Fiddy's now-deleted Instagram post is any indication, evolution is not for everyone.
