If y'all fuck with Lil Nas X, then you know he seemingly came out as gay last week in a series of cryptic tweets.

"Some of y’all already know, some of y’all don’t care, some of y’all not gone fwm no more," he wrote, calling attention to lyrics in his single “C7osure (You Like).”

If there were still any doubts about his sexuality, the Atlanta-born "Old Town Road" rapper appeared Friday on BBC Breakfast and confirmed "I am gay," explaining, “I don’t have anything to hide.”

"It's just something that I was considering just like never just doing ever, just like taking to the grave or something," he told the hosts. "But it was like, I don't want to just live my entire life—especially how I just got to where I’m at—just like not doing what I want to do."

"And I'm also, I feel like, opening doors for more people," he continued, noting that he hopes his coming out will make fans "feel more comfortable," since being gay is "not really accepted" in the hip-hop and country communities.

Lil Nas X, a.k.a. Montero Lamar Hill, also addressed the homophobic backlash he's gotten on social media since addressing his sexuality on Twitter.

"I'm not angry or anything," said the 20-year-old performer, "because I understand how they want that reaction. But I'm just going to joke back with them."

“Old Town Road,” his country-rap collaboration with Billy Ray Cyrus, is No. 1 for the 13th straight week on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, the longest chart-topping hip-hop song in history.
