Meet the Logo30: Rashad Robinson

Robinson is a civil rights leader and the executive director of Color of Change, the nation's largest online racial justice organization.

Every day during the month of June, we will be spotlighting our 2018 Logo30. The powerful series profiles ordinary and extraordinary people who show pride in unique and provocative ways. Visit the Logo30 homepage to learn more about the series.

Rashad Robinson is a civil rights leader, and was the senior director of media programs at GLAAD for six years. He is now the executive director for Color of Change, the nation's largest online racial justice organization, which has a stated mission of "strengthening the political voice of black America," and helps battle against issues like voter suppression.

"Communities have been rising up and electing new district attorneys, who are going to fight for a new type of criminal justice reform," Robinson tells NewNowNext. "That is a queer issue because those powers impact oppressed communities. That is inspiring to me, to see communities who were once were attacked, ignored and targeted, now through democracy, are able to write a new story."
