Hello, Damiana!!! And hellloooooo Carol Channing! Raspberries, everybody!!!
Lady reporter Damiana Garcia had a fun and zany interview with Broadway and film legend Carol Channing at a preview screening of the new documentary “Carol Channing: Larger Than Life,” which screens at OutFest in L.A. on July 10th.
Carol talks about once being crowned “Queen of the Gays” in San Francisco (Take that, Queen Elizabeth!!!), and the supernatural power of the numerology in the name Carol – as it turns out, not having an “E” at the end of her name is a life or death matter!
Plus Damiana talks with “E.T.” mom Dee Wallace, Carol’s “Hello, Dolly!” co-star Mary Jo Catlett (who was also Pearl on Diff’rent Strokes, neighbor Rosemary in Serial Mom, and currently voices Mrs. Poppy Puff on Spongebob Squarepants), and also Carol’s longtime best friend and “soulmate.”
