We should have known it was coming: Within days of Rachel Dolezal being caught lying about her race, right wingers are drawing connections from her fraud to the transgender community.

Dolezal, of course, has just resigned as the head of the NCAAP in Spokane, Washington, after her mother revealed that, though she had presented herself as an African-American for years, she was actually white.

Fox News pundit Keith Ablow blames transgender people like Kaitlyn Jenner for Dolezal's scam.

"I’ve been saying for a long time we could find ourselves at this moment," said Ablow. “... When you decide that a genetic reality is not reality, if this woman believes to her core that her identity is that of a black woman, one could argue… that she should be accepted according to her 'racial identity.'"

Ablow added that “Some might claim that Caitlyn Jenner chose her identity—or his depending on the way people see it—in order to get on the cover of magazines. Because that person is addicted to fame."

He warned that “The liberal element in this country is very much in this trans-race moment, or trans-age."

Sadly Ablow isn't alone in his theory: Twitter has blown up with tweets using #transracial to delegitimize transgender lives.

Transracial IS actually a thing—a term used by people adopted by parents of a different race or ethnic group.

But curling your hair and slapping on bronzer to get a job can't really be compared to facing rejection, discrimination and violence to live your truth.
