In the aftermath of the Ray Rice domestic-violence scandal, CBS pulled its new Thursday Night Football opener, which featured Don Cheadle speaking over Rihanna's "Run This Town,"

Apparently the network thought using a song by an artist associated with her own domestic-abuse tragedy would send the wrong signal. (Nevermind that Ri Ri was the alleged victim of assault, not the perpetrator.)

Now, a week later, CBS probably thought the whole thing had blown over and that they could bring the song back and no one would care.

Nope.

Rihanna let the network know how she felt about their flip-flopping:

CBS you pulled my song last week, now you wanna slide it back in this Thursday? NO, Fuck you! Y'all are sad for penalizing me for this.

New York Times reporter Bill Carter later tweeted that CBS was originally going to pull Rihanna's song entirely and replace it with a track they made internally.
