Rihanna has never been one to layer clothing or shy away from showing her midriff, but her penchant for scantily clad wears recently landed the singer in trouble when she was chided for her wardrobe choices — by an Irish farmer.
61-year-old Alan Graham allowed Rihanna to use one of his fields as she shot the video for her new single, “We Found Love,” but was quickly put off when he saw the singer stripping down to a barely there bikini. Disconcerted by the situation, Graham asked that Rihanna and her team vacate his field due to their lewd behavior. Didn’t he think to do some research before handing over his property?
It is hard to know where to begin with this story. For starters, why is Rihanna filming a music video in an Irish field? She is of course on her European tour, but wouldn’t she prefer the comfort of an indoor studio made to look like a field if she was going to strip down?
Second, why would the production team pick a field that was adjacent to a barn that reads; “For God So Loved The World That He Gave His Only Begotten Son That Whosoever Believeth In Him Should Not Perish But Have Everlasting Life.” Clearly someone with religious convictions this strong is not going to be super stoked about seeing a young lady in a red bandana bikini on his property.
Graham later said he wished the singer no ill will and Rihanna was spotted afterwards filming more scenes on the streets of Belfast alongside DJ Calvin Harris. And, from the looks of it, the crowds of anxious teens seemed to have no problem with Rihanna’s revealing style.
