Robbie Rogers, First Openly Gay Soccer Player, Makes His U.S. Debut

Well That didn't take very long: Just days after he signed with the L.A. Galaxy, Robbie Rogers became the first openly gay man to play in a professional American team sport last night, when he took the field with the L.A. Galaxy in their match against the Seattle Sounders.

(NBA star Jason Collins hasn't played since coming out in Sports Illustrated.)
