Robbie Rogers, the first openly gay professional soccer player in America (and bonafide stud), scored his first goal for his team, LA Galaxy, since coming out of the closet two years ago.

To make it even better, the game was during the franchise's LGBT Pride night. How's that for timely?!
Competing against the Portland Tigers, Rogers took a pass from the Galaxy's Robbie Keane in the 32 minute mark, lobbing it right into the goal.
LA Galaxy went on to beat Portland 5-0.
Rogers was recently named MLSsoccer.com's player of the week for his stellar performance against the Columbus Crew (his old team) on June 13–which was also during Los Angeles' Gay Pride Week. Got that gay magic, Mr. Rogers!
Just this spring, Rogers wrote an excellent op-ed in the USA Today directed at FIFA and their discrimination against international out soccer players.
The message FIFA sends to gay athletes is painfully clear. Not only don't they have our backs, our lives don't matter... [and] being open about their sexuality could have real consequences when they set foot in countries with laws that could land them in jail,
Smolderingly handsome, athletically gifted and just plain brave, Robbie, you're a regular superhero.
