Robert Pattinson made his first appearance since splitting with girlfriend Kristen Stewart on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart last night, much to the delight of tweenage girls around the world, saying little and acting incredibly awkward the entire time. So, basically, acting like anything but a movie star.
We aren’t knocking Rob’s appearance, if anything it is nice to see that millionaire actors are JUST LIKE US!, but it seems like the actor was not even prepped for the talk show. Largely because he was not prepped for his first talk show back – he admitted to not even having a publicist. How refreshing!
Rob instead relied on the genius writers from The Daily Show, and the Stewarts (Jon discussing Kristen), to carry him through, which they did. For a solid five minutes all the 26-year-old did was eat melted ice cream and attempt to form sentences, unsuccessfully. Stewart (Again, Jon and Kristen) provided all the legwork, Jon eventually segwaying from making one-liners about Rob’s split from Kristen to a discussion of his new movie, Cosmopolis.
