Robyn Hosts Girl-On-Girl Slumber Party, Recreates “Heathers,” In New Video For “Love Is Free”

The Swedish pop siren is joined by Maluca for the house jam.

You never know what you’re gonna get from Robyn—or when it’s gonna come! Her latest release, “Love is Free” is a collaboration with Maluca and La Bagatelle Magique.

We’re still digesting the house-influenced track, which was actually released under the name La Bagatelle Magique, Robyn’s side project with Markus Jägerstedt and the late Christian Falk, and features tropical punk goddess Maluca.

Of course, we’re already in love with the video, directed by queer artist-musician Cody Critcheloe, a.k.a. SSION. It’s got EVERYTHING: A two-girl naughty slumber party, an homage to Heathers, tons of snacks and a pesky fly.

“I loved working with SSION on this video,” Robyn said in a release. “The thoughts Maluca, Markus, and I had about how to materialise ‘Love Is Free’ seemed to find a perfect place in Cody’s fantastic world. Flesh and paint and dreams, both good ones and bad ones.”
