Even though J.Lo declared “Love Don’t Cost A Thing” back in 2001, pop priestess Robyn is here to remind us all of that important life lesson, on her new thumping single “Love Is Free.”
The song, which features ghettotech songstress Maluca, is the first release from Robyn’s newest project, La Bagatelle Magique, a project Robyn created in collaboration with keyboardist Markus Jägerstedt and late producer Christian Falk.
“Love Is Free” comes from the trio’s upcoming mini-album–which will be released via Robyn’s Konichiwa Records, Cherrytree, and Interscope in August.
Asked about the theme of freedom on the upcoming EP by Fact Magazine, Robyn had this to say:
When it came to this letting go thing, I think, isn’t that what we all want? To somehow be okay with being alive, even though it’s really hard? And not being scared. I mean, you can be scared, but it’s not good if you’re scared of being scared, and trying to control things. It’s an illusion – you can’t. You have to let go in order to be happy.
Listen in rapture to the return of Robyn below.
