Rose McGowan And Yoko Ono Team Up On New Music Video

"Very proud to be in Ono world," said McGowan. "It's an important one.”

Yoko Ono has enlisted Rose McGowan to direct the music video for her track "Catman."

McGowan has been a vocal advocate for gender equality, which was a big reason why she wanted to work with the iconic artist. `

“Yoko Ono has been an ardent supporter of women and modern dance for years and so I wanted to thank her for that,” McGowan said.

The "Catman" video features a girl in a cat mask teaching a group of older women an avant-garde dance sequence.

“Casting women dancers over 60, including one with cancer, was my way of showing that vitality doesn't die with age," says the actress-turned-auteur. "I used color overlays to create my own visual beat. Very proud to be in Ono world—it's an important one.”

The track originally appeared on Ono's 1973 album, Approximately Infinite Universe, but has now been remixed by Miike Snow for her new LP, Yes, I'm a Witch Too.
