"Noseanne": Twitter Gleefully Reacts to ABC Canceling "Roseanne"

"Roseanne’s show got chopped down like a Civil War statue."

Earlier today, news broke that ABC chose to cancel its hit Roseanne revival amid the namesake actress' racist tweets about Obama aide Valerie Jarrett. Twitter was quick to react to the decision, offering puns, wit, and a healthy dose of #RealTalk.

Some users played off of Roseanne Barr's name.

Others likened the cancellation—a quick choice on behalf of ABC—to other take-downs (and pick-ups) from recent memory.

And others still (including prolific screenwriter and showrunner Shonda Rhimes) used the prime opportunity to shed light on racism in the entertainment industry.

Some pointed out the "Bye Felicia" was trending in conjunction with #Roseanne.

Hell, even Merriam-Webster chimed in with a series of clever (albeit subtle) jabs.
