Roseanne Barr has given a giant stamp of approval to San Francisco drag queen Peaches Christ's upcoming live action parody of the 1989 cult classic, She-Devil.

Barr made her film debut opposite Meryl Streep in the movie, playing a housewife (Ruth Patchett) who exacts revenge on her husband after he leaves her for the glamorous, best-selling romance novelist Mary Fisher, played by Meryl Streep.

The character has become a favorite among drag queens and film buffs for obvious reasons.

Peaches Christ is re-creating the film as a live stage production at the Castro Theatre on July 9, featuring herself as Ruth and Sharon Needles as Mary Fisher.

She tweeted: "You're cordially invited to a tribute to your masterpiece @therealroseanne! SF, July 9th starring @SHARON_NEEDLES"

Roseanne replied "awesome" an hour later:

She didn't clarify whether that means she'll actually be attending the show, but it's safe to assume the theater will have a packed house whether it includes Roseanne or not.

Peaches Christ Productions' She-Devil also stars Heklina, Holotta Tymes, "and many, many more of your SF-drag favorites."

Tickets range from $25 to $70 and are available online.
