Could Rosie O'Donnell Be Replacing Julie Chen on "The Talk"?

Is she in the running to replace Julie Chen?

Take a little time to enjoy... The Talk?

Rosie O'Donnell announced yesterday that she would be joining the ladies of The Talk this Friday as a guest host/audition for the open spot left by Julie Chen.

Deadline is reporting that CBS is considering making her a permanent member of The Talk roundtable.

Since O'Donnell ended her classic talk show back in 2002, she returned to daytime TV as a host on The View in September 2006, replacing Meredith Vieira. Her tenure lasted one year, and she eventually returned to the ABC show in 2014 for a few months. O'Donnell also hosted The Rosie Show on OWN from 2011-2012.

While promoting her Talk appearance on Twitter, fans didn't think it was a realistic option for O'Donnell to join the CBS series since it is filmed in L.A. and O'Donnell splits her time between New York and Florida, but it seems like O'Donnell might be considering the cross-country move:

If O'Donnell does join The Talk full-time it wouldn't be her only TV gig. Last year she earned rave reviews as Tutu on the Showtime series SMILF—which is set to return for a second season later this year.

Whether she's only on The Talk for a day or becomes a permanent member, we will always take more Rosie on our TV screens.
