Rosie O'Donnell Is Down To Play Steve Bannon On "SNL"

And we need to see it happen.

If called, Rosie O'Donnell is ready to serve.

The comedian sent the internet into a frenzy on Monday night when she shared she's willing to play Steve Bannon on Saturday Night Live.

Fans suggested the idea after seeing Melissa McCarthy's priceless portrayal of Press Secretary Sean Spicer on last weekend's episode, and O'Donnell quickly revealed on Twitter that she was available.

Trump was reportedly annoyed that Spicer came off as "weak" in Saturday's sketch, and Politico suggests he wasn't too happy seeing him played by a woman, either. So we can only imagine that if long-time Trump nemesis O'Donnell started playing the chief strategist, it could really send our president over the edge.

Bannon was played by the Grim Reaper on last week's episode, so the white nationalist should be honored to be portrayed by one of our nation's most treasured talk show hosts.

We need comedy more than ever in dark times like these, so we can only pray this comes to fruition.
