Rosie O’Donnell, Broadway Performers to Protest Outside White House

Do you hear the people sing?

On Monday (August 6), actress Rosie O’Donnell and stars from some of Broadway’s biggest shows plan to perform for President Donald Trump—but outside of the White House in protest.

According to the Associated Press, O’Donnell will lead stars from Wicked, Beautiful, Hamilton, Les Miserable, Xanadu, Head Over Heels, and more in a set list that includes “The People’s Song,” “What the World Needs Now Is Love,” and “A Brand New Day.”

The event is organized by Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, the host and producer of Sirius XM’s “On Broadway.”

Civil action organization MoveOn will live stream the event on their Facebook page.

This isn’t the first time O’Donnell, one of Trump’s biggest critics, has taken her political activism to the gates of the White House. O’Donnell led a protest outside 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in February 2017, hours before 45 delivered his first address to Congress.
