A year after Rosie O'Donnell announced her teenage daughter Chelsea was missing and in need of medical attention, mother and child have mended their relationship.

O'Donnell, who divorced wife Michelle Rounds in 2015, posted a picture with Chelsea, adding the caption. "Chelsea and me - what a difference a year makes #hopelives"

Chelsea, who suffers from depression, went missing for a week last August, prompting a tweet from O'Donnell.

A few hours later, the then-17-year-old was found at her boyfriend's house in New Jersey. She claimed she had been kicked out of the house.

Chelsea, who was adopted by O’Donnell first wife Kelli Carpenter in 1997, had also reached out to her biological mother.
