Rosie O'Donnell Returning To "The View", Goodbye Reality Star Co-Hosts

Rosie O'Donnell's long-rumored return to The View may finally be in view as sources say the former Queen of Daytime has been offered a "one-year, seven-figure" deal to retake her seat at the table. Among Rosie's stipulations, however, is a no reality star as co-host policy.

Page Six reports Rosie's deal:

would include her appearing full-time on the show alongside Whoopi Goldberg, and O’Donnell will also get “approval over offers to other co-hosts.” But according to a source, Rosie wants a stipulation that no other reality stars can be slotted as co-hosts.

With that whiny troublemaker Liz Hasselback darkening the doorways of Fox News with future BFF Stacey Dash, Rosie's return should be a lot smoother than her last time as a full-time Viewer some seven years ago.

The View recently and mercifully let go of Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepard, and following Barbara Walters's dignified exit earlier this year, perhaps the show's attempting to recapture some of its former glory.

Meanwhile, all producers need to do is bring back Behar and just have Whoops, Ro and Joy kvetching for an hour. The heavens will open up and rain down Daytime Emmys for 40 days and 40 nights.
