Rosie O'Donnell's Missing Daughter Found

Daughter Chelsea, 17, may have gone to reconnect with her birth mother.

Rosie O’Donnell’s 17-year-old daughter, Chelsea, has been found after disappearing for a week, reps for the comedian announced.

“Chelsea has been found and is safe in police custody,” O’Donnell tweeted. “Thank u all for the help and light #missingchildren.”

Chelsea, who suffers from an undisclosed mental illness, was last seen August 11 in Nyack, New York, with her therapy dog, Brown. “Chelsea stopped taking her medicine and is in need of medical attention,” O'Donnell wrote on her personal website.

Just prior to disappearing, Chelsea—who was adopted by O’Donnell and her first wife Kelli Carpenter in 1997—reached out to her biological mother, Deanna Micoley.

“Rosie has said she wouldn’t be surprised if [Chelsea] came looking for me,” said Micoley. “She said that when I first talked to Rosie when Chelsea found me in November.”

It’s unclear where Chelsea was found or why O'Donnell waited to publicize her disappearance.

In March, Micoley told the National Enquirer she felt Carpenter and O’Donnell “stole” Chelsea away from her.

“I may not have been the best mother back then. I did drugs and I have a criminal record because of it,” Micoley said at the time. “But I surely didn’t deserve to have my baby stolen from me!”
