Ross Mathews On Milo Yiannopoulos Diss: "I Am Proud To Be The Antithesis Of Whatever That Guy Is"

"Whatever he is not, I want my face on that poster."

When they go low, Ross Mathews goes high.

Milo Yiannopoulos referenced the Drag Race judge in his resignation press conference earlier this week, claiming that he gets letters from mothers who say they're grateful their gay sons don't have to end up like Mathews.

Assuming that the former Breitbart editor was insinuating that being flamboyant makes you bad or less than, Mathews recorded a classy reply that was rooted in love.

"My response is not about me...I am proud to be the antithesis of whatever that guy is," he said. "Whatever he is not, I want my face on that poster."

He went on to say that he's driven by knowing that he can be an example for kids across the country who don't see many people like him on TV—something he wishes he had when he was a kid himself.

"I'm afraid that the kids like me out there now will see his message and not my message," he concluded. "So I want every kid out there who is different, who feels different, who knows that they're different to know that that's good."

Mathews didn't reply with snark or anger—which is no easy feat when talking about Yiannopoulos—but simply delivered a message of love to the children. Just one of many reasons why we hope little boys out there grow up to be exactly like Ross.
