Rufus Wainwright Dances With Multiple Sexy Men In His "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" Video

The gay crooner covers a Stevie Wonder classic for a good cause.

May Rufus Wainwright have this dance?

The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter has released a new video for his moody rendition of the Stevie Wonder classic "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)."

The video is just one in a series of interpretive shorts promoting the Art of Elysium, an L.A.-based charity that aims to "empower artists and communities of need to join together and emotionally triumph over their circumstances through art," and its new Elysium Bandini Studios, billed as “the only philanthropic streaming video subscription.”

"'Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)’ is one of the great happy/sad hits of all times,” says Wainwright in a statement. “If you listen to the lyrics they are both gloomy and touching, but with a really up melody. Unfortunately, it’s not a duality often mastered in this day and age.”

Conceived and directed by New York-based artist Andrew Ondrejcak, the black-and-white clip begins with Wainwright and another dancer, who then cycle through other partners until they find themselves together again. It's based on the dance scene in Fellini’s 8 1/2, as well as the 1897 play La Ronde.

Wainwright's latest album, Take All My Loves: 9 Shakespeare Sonnets, was released last year. His second opera, about Roman Emperor Hadrian, is set to premiere in Toronto next year.
