RuPaul made the scene in New York this week, attending the Time 100 Gala at Lincoln Center Tuesday night with hubby Georges LeBar.

And, yes, that’s a “Vanjie” necklace he’s wearing.

As only befitting an Emmy winner, Ru rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest names in entertainment, including SNL’s Leslie Jones.

But the biggest moment may have been when RuPaul met Adam Rippon. The out skater, named one of this year’s Time 100, was clearly in awe of the drag superstar and bowed before his queen.

Rippon thanked Cher earlier in the week for her heartfelt essay calling him “brave” and complimenting him on his risque Oscars outfit.
When I got the news that I was in @TIME 100 this year, I won’t lie, I cried. I promise to continue to help others who are struggling or feel unheard. Just being yourself can be so powerful. Thank you, @cher, for the beautiful introduction. #TIME100 https://t.co/sTsozEwwmK

“”I’m a huge Cher fan because she speaks in mostly emojis, which I do love,” he told AOL. “Sometimes I need to spend a few hours with a cup of hot tea and really decode it. But I’ll get there. I love her. I love a good scavenger hunt.”
At the gala, the lady who really got Adam’s praise was his mom.
He also got to meet Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.

There was lots of LGBT representation at Lincoln Center, including Fantastic Woman actress Daniela Vega, Pulitzer winner Ronan Farrow, trans activist Janet Mock, and Parkland survivor Emma González.
