RuPaul Gives Good Drag Name and Always Has the Best Comebacks

Sir Lady Cheekbones?

Tell us to our face, Ru!

Promoting the premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race U.K. on BBC Three, RuPaul recently appeared on BBC One's The Graham Norton Show alongside fellow guests Jack Whitehall and Dame Helen Mirren.

When Norton noted that British drag queens tend to have sillier names than their American sisters, like Baga Chipz and Cheryl Hole, RuPaul shared that he has "named several queens" over the years.

"I can feel a person's energy and I can tell what their name should be," Ru explained before presenting Whitehall and Mirren with their own drag personas. Whitehall? Jackie Blackball. Mirren? Sir Lady Cheekbones.

He even taught Whitehall, who reportedly plays Disney's first openly gay character in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Jungle Cruise, how to properly sashay away.

The Emmy-winning Drag Race host also boasted that he's always armed with a list of comebacks for every situation, including "I'll be the judge of that," "Thanks for the warning," and "I don't see how that's any of your business." Graham offered him a new one, courtesy of Lucille Ball: "Tell her to her face!"

RuPaul’s Drag Race U.K. is jumping the pond to its original U.S. network home, Logo, and will premiere Friday, October 11, at 8/7c on the cable network.
