RuPaul Snatches Third Consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Reality Series Host

You're a winner, baby!

Mutha RuPaul snatched another trophy at this year's Creative Arts Emmys.

On Sunday night, the host of RuPaul's Drag Race walked away with his third consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Reality Competition Series.

Ru accepted his award by telling the audience to "say love" and then "drive that down to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue." He continued, saying how Drag Race was about love, courage, and the "tenacity of the human spirit," adding that the Drag Race team is "so happy to present all of these queens to the world."

RuPaul wasn't the only winner for Drag Race. The VH1 series also won for Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming, Outstanding Hairstyling for a Multi-Camera Series or Special, and Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program.

RuPaul's Drag Race could make herstory next week at the 70th annual Primetime Emmy Awards where it is nominated for Outstanding Reality-Competition Series. No unscripted show has ever won for both Outstanding Host and Outstanding Reality-Competition Series, so keep those fingers crossed, henny!

The Creative Arts Emmys happened over two nights this weekend, and both nights will be edited down and televised September 15 on FXX. The 70th annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air September 17 on NBC.
