RuPaul On Lady Gaga: "She Felt Right At Home" Around The "Drag Race" Queens

He spilled all the tea on this morning's "GMA."

RuPaul sashayed onto Good Morning America and sat down with co-host Lara Spencer to talk all about the new season of RuPaul's Drag Race—including spending time with Lady Gaga on the premiere episode.

"She [Lady Gaga] tweeted my several years ago, but it took this long to get the schedules together," RuPaul revealed on the morning news program. "She's on the show opener. It is so much fun, everyone is going to love it."

When Spencer pried for more info on Mother Monster's time on set Ru reminded her how Gaga began as a club kid: "She started in New York City clubs, like myself, she started around drag queens and the downtown culture so she felt right at home."

The Supermodel of the World also explained to the GMA audience on the importance of shows like Drag Race:

"I just love that in this political culture right now that we get to show that love is strong," he said to the cheering crowd. "We are Americans and we believe in open hearts. We believe in love, acceptance and this show is so important more now than ever."
