RuPaul surprised us all by popping up at the 68th annual Tony Awards to introduce a performance of “Sugar Daddy” from Hedwig and the Angry Inch by star Neil Patrick Harris, who took home Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical.
The show itself nabbed Best Musical Revival, and Best Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical for co-star Lena Hall.
It was Ru’s first time at the Tony Awards, held at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday night. But the Supermodel of the World wasn’t dolled up in drag himself—Ru opted for a (relatively) demure pink-satin tux jacket with black pants.
She might be the fiercest diva of the land, but RuPaul’s not about to step on another queen’s spotlight—hello!
