RuPaul Is All About The '90s On New Album "Realness," Featuring Michelle Visage

RuPaul is serving some hot '90s realness with the release of her seventh studio album, "Realness," which dropped March 2 to coincide with the premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race season 7.

The tracks on Ru's latest are just as upbeat and club-ready as ever, but you'll notice her new sound is a bit nostalgic; music reminiscent of the days she used to take the J train into Manhattan to work Susanne Bartsch's party for a buffalo nickel.

The mid-'90s vibe you'll hear on "Realness" is the product of producer Eric Kupper, who produced Ru's "Supermodel of the World" 22 years ago. Ru took the opportunity to work with her old squirrel friend after Lucian Piane, who produced her last three albums and is featured on two tracks from "Realness," took a step back to focus on other projects.

"Trust me. It's what's happening right now," Ru told Billboard of the post-'80s explosion. "Eric Kupper, you know, is the master of that. So we basically went back and took what was ours to begin with. You know, my marketing philosophy is: Someone turns 18 every single day."

Best of all, "Realness" features cameos from Michelle Visage, Rebecca Romijn, Lady Bunny and Frankmusik. Check it out below:
