RuPaul And Marc Jacobs Sissy That Style At Fashion Does Drag Ball

Queens like Detox, Miss Fame, and Violet Chachki turned out the DragCon NYC kickoff.

RuPaul and Marc Jacobs joined fashionable forces Thursday night to host the inaugural Fashion Does Drag Ball, a Planned Parenthood benefit that celebrated New York Fashion Week and kicked off RuPaul’s DragCon NYC.

Vogue reports that RuPaul, who DJed the gala in a vintage tracksuit and boy wig, repeatedly ditched the DJ booth to dance with friends and fans, including Michelle Visage, Big Freedia, Todrick Hall, Paulina Porizkova, Nina Agdal, Luann De Lesseps, and World of Wonder founders Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey. Rest assured that “Sissy That Walk” was on his set list.

Held at New York’s McKittrick Hotel, home to Sleep No More, the event also welcomed former Drag Race contestants like BeBe Zahara Benet, Detox, Raja, Milk, Dida Ritz, Miss Fame, and Violet Chachki.

Jacobs, a Drag Race guest judge, has been a longtime friend to the queens, putting Milk in his spring 2016 fashion campaign and taking Detox on a $2,000 shopping spree.

RuPaul’s DragCon NYC runs September 9 and 10 at the Javits Center.
