The Drag Race squirrel friends have gone from the workroom to the runway.
Next week’s episode of America’s Next Top Model is all about Pride Month, and what better way to celebrate than rubbing shoulders with Drag Race royalty?
In a new sneak peek, ANTM Drew Elliott introduces the models to RuPaul’s Drag Race former contestants Katya, Manila Luzon and Valentina—who will be tasked with turning the model “princesses” into queens.
“I grew up watching America’s Next Top Model, and I’m finally here alongside these ladies,” Valentina says in the clip.
“I absolutely see America’s next top model in this group. And it’s none of those girls… it’s me,” confesses Katya.
“They’re so friggin’ gorgeous and can pose their asses off,” host Tyra Banks told Entertainment Weekly when asked about working with the Drag Race girls. “That’s a difficult model to be in a shot with.… Not all of my models prevailed. Valentina killed it. I’m sitting there editing film and I’m like, can I get a shot of my girls looking at least half as good as Valentina?”
“Something popped into my head: princesses and queens! I told my team, ’Okay, give me a photoshoot with that theme, but with our girls and the drag queens!’ They took it from there and did a really good job,” she explained.
The new preview ends with Elliott sending the girls into hair and makeup. Will they be able to out fierce the fiercest queens? Find out when the episode airs next Tuesday, February 13 at 8/7c on VH1.
