Did We Mention that RuPaul's Drag Race Is Up for "Best Reality Series, Competition" at the Critics Choice TV Awards?

Queen Angelique is pretty much the #1 RuPaul’s Drag Race fan, people! And she’s ready to celebrate the CCTA’s!!!!!!!!

In a week (Monday, June 20th!), VH1.com will host the CCTA’s! Those are the Critics’ Choice Television Awards, a first-ever shindig where the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) will gather for lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel (Ooooh, I’m feeling some Jackie Collins/Hollywood Wives realness up in here!) and dole out prizes to the best stuff in TV. You can watch it streaming live at VH1.COM starting at 4pm ET / 1pm PT. BAM!

Among all the big deal TV thingies up for prizes is RuPaul’s Drag Race, which is nominated for “Best Reality Series – Competition” alongside such big/crazy mainstream-y shows like American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, The Amazing Race, and also Top Chef and Project Runway. Yes, children! It’s basically Ru, Raja, Shangela and Michelle Visage battling it out with peeps like Ryan Seacrest, Jeff Probst, those weird dancing-show judges and J-Lo. Madness! I love it.

And I’m not the only one. Angelique Keyes, who is the President of the “RuPaul’s Drag Race Blog” Community Fanpage on Facebook is very excited, too! In fact, she’s been blogging and posting up a storm, and she cut this major video broadcasting her fierce support for Ru and the show!!!! The video is about 10 minutes of serious diva props for Ru, so… Enjoy!

Of course, the folks at Logo (Hi Moms! Hi Dads!) aren’t stopping at being content with just their CCTA nomination. They’re angling to snare RuPaul and Drag Race Emmy nominations! It’s getting serious, with media outlets and sassy blogs covering this phenom (and yup, there’s the requisite Facebook campaign building steam, too).

After the jump, watch the star-studded promo of celebs (like Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson, Bravo’s Andy Cohen, and rock legends Duran Duran) chiming in for their support of RuPaul!

OMG – Even Judith Light is up in this piece! How can you not love it???

To get more from VH1.com’s Critics Choice Television Awards, get to their site! And check out the entire list of nominees for all the categories! And watch them online at VH1.com at 4pm ET / 1pm PT on Monday, June 20th.
