O, Christmas tree, you slay!
Bryce Carson and his boyfriend Matthew Kluge created a RuPaul’s Drag Race themed tree that makes us all want to drop by with a present.
Last year, the couple designed a Real Housewives tree, placing headshots of the women into ornaments and then hanging them in ranked order, with their favorites at the top and their lesser favorites in descending order. This year, they took those same ornaments and switched out the housewives for the queens, and placed a special RuPaul angel at the top, for a stunning final reveal.

“Matt handled the RuPaul doll, as he worked in the costume shop at the University of Virginia,” Carson told NewNowNext. “It took him a few nights to assemble her dress from all the screenshots we could find from the DESPYs episode. It was truly such a stunning and unique Ru look, but so different than her normal silhouette, so a lot more difficult than we expected.”
“The hair took a full 12 hours,” he continued. “From scalping Barbie to weaving each piece of yarn, brushing each one out individually and then flat ironing. We then had to style it and sew it into place. We added some lipstick and highlighter to Barbie to give her a more draggy look.”
