This Scottish Politician Wants To Be On "RuPaul's Drag Race"

Diva Lution is born.

First Charlie Hides, and now it looks like another contestant might be crossing the Atlantic to appear on RuPaul's Drag Race.

The only problem is the wannabe queen already has another gig: As a MP (Member of Parliament) in Scotland.

Earlier this week Scottish MP Stewart McDonald tweeted about his fellow MPs, Kezia Dugdale and Ruth Davidson appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and The Great British Bake Off, respectively.

Then in the tweet McDonald asked if the Drag Race producers had his number—topped off with a Trinity Taylor gif.

He was then asked what his drag name would be, and McDonald responded "Diva Lution," a play on the word devolution.

The conversation on Twitter revealed that McDonald wasn't the only MP itching to sashay into the workroom. Another Member of Parliament, Wes Streeting, said he wants to be on the show, but he would be the one crying during the sewing challenges.

McDonald then asked Streeting a very important question when dreaming of auditioning for Drag Race: Who would you be for Snatch Game?

"I've thought long and hard about this: Julie Andrews," Streeting responds.

A practically perfect pick.

Even RuPaul tweeted out the story of McDonald's Drag Race dream.

Maybe if a UK version ever actually happens McDonald will have the chance to lip sync for his life in front of Ru and the judges—and prove even MPs can snatch wigs and trophies.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 7: RuVealed airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Logo.
