"RuPaul's Drag Race" Sashays Over to the CW For Broadcast Network Debut

The Season 13 premiere will be simulcast on six networks on January 1.

The CW is known for its superheroes: The Flash, Supergirl, Arrow, Batwoman and... RuPaul?!

Mama Ru will join the lineup of caped crusaders for one night when the Season 13 premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race simulcasts on multiple networks, including not only its cable home, VH1, but also Logo, MTV, MTV2, Pop, and making its broadcast debut for the first time in the show's 12 year history on the CW.

Drag Race Season 13 will premiere Friday, January 1 at 8/7c on multiple networks, but you have to sashay over to VH1 to watch the backstage show, Untucked, airing at 9:30/8:30c.

In case you need a RuFresher, the 13 girls who will have you gagging this season are Denali, Elliott with 2 Ts, Gottmik, Joey Jay, Kahmora Hall, Kandy Muse, Lala Bi, Olivia Lux, Rosé, Symone, Tamisha Iman, Tina Burner, and Utica Queen. And we already know from watching the trailer that the new crop of queens are left gagging when they learn that they will immediately be fighting for their lives in a six-way lip sync after they stomp into the workroom.

“Competing safely and fiercely, our 13 queens proved that it takes more than a global pandemic to keep a good queen down,” RuPaul said in a statement, referencing how the season was filmed following strict COVID-19 health and safety guidelines.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 13 premieres Friday, January 1 at 8/7c on VH1, Logo, MTV, MTV2, Pop, and the CW, followed by a new season of Untucked on VH1 at 9:30/8:30c.
